These (x2) pieces of mountain climbing equipment consisting a roll-up sleeping mat of XPE foam & a turquoise kernmantle climbing rope were used in Director Baltasar Kormakur's box office hit 'Everest', (2015/Working Title Films). These items formed a part of Michael Groom's (Tom Wright) climbing apparatus in aid of his treacherous expedition to the summit of Everest. The roll-up sleeping mat can actually be screen-matched to the scenes in the base camp & is held together with two knotted fabric strips. These props were originally obtained from the official studio auction held on 6th March 2017 & accompany provenance.
