This Arachnid Warrior Bug was used in Director Edward Neumeier’s American Science Fiction Film starring Casper Van Dien. The Bug has been created from a hardened resin with static jaws & areas of painted detailing. It would have assisted CGI work during the production, including chroma key compositing; a visual effect that uses green screen technology. The Warrior Bugs were fabricated by Academy Award-winning special effects group Amalgamated Dynamics, Inc. (ADI & were the primary arachnid deployed by the species in the Film. This unique prop is the miniature version, measuring 12 inches in width, 11 inches in length & 7 inches in height. Some very minor wear is present from use during the production but the prop remains in overall fine condition.
