This scarab treasure decal was used in Director Stephen Sommers’ American Adventure Horror Film starring Brendan Fraser & Rachel Weisz. The decal is made from a hardened resin with painted detailing & was created for set dressing when Imhotep (Arnold Vosloo) boards the train to Cairo. It is believed that some of these decals were used in the first (1999) film & then reused in the sequel. There is some minor wear & visible discolouration to the paint, together with some damage to the left scarab leg, but the prop remains in otherwise fine condition. Measures 32x23cm overall & accompanies provenance.
