Few films took the world by storm quite like The Blair Witch Project. What started out as a low-budget Indie film, suddenly exploded into an international phenomenon grossing $250 million dollars worldwide. This Motel Key Pocket was used by Heather, Josh & Mike during the production. Before embarking on the journey into the Maryland woods, the trio stay the night at the motel. This was a real motel located in Knoxville, Maryland. The front of the 14cm x 9cm pocket is autographed by Heather Donahue & was lip-blotted on location before shooting the cemetery scene, which she has also inscribed. On the verso are various instructions including ‘Safety and Security Tips for Travelers’ and ‘Please return key(s) to the front desk upon check-out’. Very rarely do artifacts from this iconic film enter the marketplace, which makes this item particularly unique. Provenance: From the personal collection of Heather Donahue. Mounted inside a framed display (31cm x 22.5cm) with a corresponding still. There is an aperture in the display which allows the verso to be seen in the back of the display.
